Aren’t we all looking for a quick and easy snack? The problem is it needs to be healthy too. Sometimes buying foods pre-made seems easier but then you look at the ingredient list and think what is this? I recently watched a video from Food Babe about what was in your hummus. Although I make my own very simple hummus, I found it to be very informative so you should check it out too!
Making your own food is not that difficult when you keep it simple. We are all busy but our health is extremely important so instead of looking at the calories on the back of the label start looking at the ingredients. This may open your eyes just like it did for me.
- 15 ounce can garbanzo beans, drained & rinsed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- Puree garbanzo beans then add the other ingredients. If it is too thick add more oil until you get the desired consistency. Store in a sealed container for up to one week. Pair it with chopped vegetables for a tasty and healthy snack.
